These are pictures of the BJ2S, the first new Chinese military jeep in 35 years. Hailing from the Beijing Jeep Corporation (BJC), the BJ2S is also called the 'Warrior' and was designed by Edward Wong. The entire concept came to realization in a scant two and a half months. Wong took inspiration from Bruce Lee and the Shaolin monks when creating the BJ2S, a utilitarian design theme with a front fascia drawing on the face of the kylin, an auspicious animal in Chinese culture.
A production version of the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) will debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. Mitsubishi has already had a couple of stabs at a plug-in hybrid Outlander EV, with the PX-MiEV at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2009 and then again with the imaginatively named PX-MiEV II at last year’s Tokyo Show. But now we’re about to get the production version.
Range Rover Grand Evoque planned - a stretched Evoque
Land Rover are considering plans for a stretched Range Rover Evoque – the Grand Evoque or Evoque XL – to fit between the Evoque and RRS. Although it seemed to take forever to turn the Land Rover LRX in to the Range Rover Evoque, the Evoque has certainly had a real impact on the car market since it finally arrived this year.
